Something I learned about from someone else is the creation of DVDs. Prior to the DVD, we were using Laserdiscs and CDs. Both were good but DVDs were just on a whole new level. Developed in 1995, DVDs revolutionized storage being able to hold up to 17GB compared to CDs paltry 700MB. Really puts into perspective how far we have come.
